Planning For Teaching
Before my mentor have a class, she always planing for her teaching. She is arrange the lesson plan and the lesson plan consist of what are the activities in the class as long as her teach. The teacher used his lesson plans based on lesson, activities, and focused on the daily learning. The teacher also prepared different materials for different class. And then, the teacher should study the lesson first before began the class and made sure that she is prepared for today’s activity.
Preparing Lessons and Materials
The teachers always preparing the lesson before their teaching like preparing lesson plan, preparing materials, making materials, so when teacher teaching step by step is complete. Therefore, the learning objective can be achieved if the teacher have prepared the lesson and materials before the teacher start the class. The teacher can use media learning like chart, pictures, video and the other media. That’s all is to help the students to get more understanding in the lesson.
Teaching In class
In preparation step, the teacher will make a little game to interesting the students to learn about the lesson or give them motivation, and after that teacher will explain and discuss about the previous lesson. Ask students about previous lesson, to check student understanding. Quick recap of past topics before start main activities.
In presentation step, teacher will give the students pictures and ask to the students. The questions and the pictures will lead to the topic of learning. But in this step, teacher not telling the what the topic is about.
In explanation, the teacher is going to explain about the topic today. The teacher’s role so far has been to mainly facilitate learning, now they can use their expertise to explain about the topic. After the teacher finished expalin, then the teacher always check for the students understanding.
In elaborate step, these activies are used to get more emphasize on their understanding for the lesson at that day.
In generalization, the teacher will check how far the students understand about the topic. In this activity, the teacher also can check whether the learning objectives have been accomplished or not to the students.
In evaluation step, theteacher will give the students worksheet for evaluation to get the high understanding of the students.
Measurement and Evaluation
After the class was end during 60 minutes, the teacher would give the students an evaluation such as worksheet. The students work will be checked and recorded by the teacher and will be returned to the students. So the students can know about their score and it’s can make them evaluate them self. The teacher seldom give an assignment to students and they can finish it in their home.
