Monday, August 27th, 2018, we had no class today because we held international student day with sport festival in Lingayen. We woke up rather late than usual but unfortunately the PSU bus fetched us up earlier at 7.30 am exactly. That made all of us participate and should be hurry to prepare what we needed to bring. When all student teachers completed, we went to Lingayen. Usually, the trip took 1 hour by bus but today because the traffic was not too crowded so we could arrive in there faster than before. In this program, we also could meet again with our SEA-TVET friends. The SEA-TVET students came from Indonesia and Malaysia while The SEA-Teacher contained Indonesian and Thailand students.
This time was sport festival that why we should use sport clothes and sneaker, because we were going to play some Filipino games, there were a lot of games but I forgot about the name. When we played the games, all of us were about 64 students divided into 5 groups and the MC gave our team group name with the name of colors. And it contained of:
1st group : Red
2nd group : Blue
3rd group : Yellow
4th group : Green
5th group : Orange
Red was the name of my group. Wherever the each group had to make “yel-yel” and showed it in front of the stage. Actually, we had the challenge to bit the other groups. There were games which were similar with Indonesian game. I forgot about the Filipino names of that game but in Indonesia, the game was called “Balapan Karung”.
We played more than 5 games. These games were very funny, we also enjoyed it. Every group contained SEA-TVET and SEA-Teacher students, so in this chance we could collaborate with same goal to be the winner hahaa. Besides of that, this program also could make us as SEA-Teacher closer with SEA-TVET students.
After we did a hard work to these games, finally my group became a winner. Hahaaa. My group could find 4 points from 8 games, yeeaay. That was because I had an incredible group. So, we had a chance to be first group who could take pictures on the stage.
Then, when we finished our games and our activity today, all of us got original food from Pangasinan. I didn’t know about that names but that looked like a porridge in Indonesia. The taste of that food was delicious but too salty and also there were some spice inside but the taste was not familiar to me. Actually, Why I like that food? Because there was chicken under the porridge. Hahaha. In break time between we played those game, we also t ried the Pangasinan food but I didn’t know about the name also. It looked like “lumpia” or “resoles” in Indonesia but I didn’t know the Pangasinan’s name exactly.
